Healing Odyssey
Healing Odyssey Healing Odyssey provides a powerful three-day weekend retreat for women cancer survivors to network with other survivors and to learn strategies for coping with, recovering from and surviving cancer. Today, more than 1,000 cancer survivors have experienced this three-day retreat. Published research has proven the positive, lasting impact of the retreat programs. Medical and therapeutic communities have enthusiastically endorsed the benefits of Healing Odyssey’s recovery programs. The Norwex Foundation donated $10,000 to Healing Odyssey, nominated by Team Coordinator, Ginny Hazboun.
The Neediest Kids of All
The Neediest Kids of All Neediest Kids of All is dedicated to fighting childhood poverty by providing necessities, supporting mental wellness, and funding educational experiences to underprivileged school-aged children in the Cincinnati Tri-State area. Fulfilling basic needs such as coats, shoes, eyeglasses, clothing and supporting strong mental wellness are critical to the healthy development of school-aged children. This organization has helped children in over seven hundred schools and Head Start sites in the Greater Cincinnati tri-state area. The Norwex Foundation donated $5,000 to The Neediest Kids of All, nominated by Senior Executive Sales Leader, Amy Dabbelt.
Camp Aranzazu
Camp Aranzazu Camp Aranzazu cultivates a sense of belonging for campers of all ages and abilities by creating accessible, empowering, and intentional camp experiences. Camping groups come from more than 55 counties in Texas to enjoy the 105-acre facility on Copano Bay, near Rockport, Texas. Regardless of their physical or developmental limitations, everyone can fully participate in and enjoy all the typical camping activities at Camp Aranzazu. The Norwex Foundation donated $7,500 to Camp Aranzazu, nominated by Senior Executive Sales Leader, J.C. Heygood.
Sistercare of South Carolina
Sistercare of South Carolina Sistercare’s philosophy is to empower survivors of domestic violence and their children to live free of intimate partner violence; to make informed decisions; take responsibility for themselves and their children; and achieve self-sufficiency. This philosophy is applied by offering survivors of domestic violence and their children a range of supportive, trauma-informed services such as emergency shelter, counseling and court advocacy. The Norwex Foundation donated $3,500 to Sistercare of South Carolina, nominated by Consultant, Carey Combs.
RocSolid Foundation
RocSolid Foundation Roc Solid Foundation’s Mission is to build hope for every child and family fighting pediatric Cancer. They provide “Ready Bags’ for parents of children diagnosed with cancer which include everything that a family might need for their unexpected hospital stay. Cancer and treatments leave kids with weak immune systems – and often the inability to interact in public. A new backyard playset not only provides a safe, germ-free place to play, but it also gives the child and family an escape from the reality of fighting cancer and a way to create happy memories together. The Norwex Foundation donated $7,500 to Roc Solid Foundation, nominated by Consultant, Kristin Glander.
Sparrow Clubs
Sparrow Clubs Sparrow Clubs is a non-profit organization that helps children in need through compassion, kindness and sponsored community service. A ‘sparrow’ is a child who has a life-threatening or life affecting illness. A school can adopt a Sparrow and complete community service to provide financial and emotional support to sick kids. Community Club Sponsors make this life-changing program 100% free to schools. EVERYONE can participate because everyone can make the choice to serve others. The Norwex Foundation donated $4,000 to Sparrow Clubs, nominated by Executive Sales Leader, Roxanne Davis.
DARTS
DARTS DARTS is a nonprofit organization that has provided personalized and professional services for older adults and caregivers in the Twin Cities southeast metro for 50 years and counting! Their services empower older adults to age independently in their own homes and offer support for their caregivers. The services are available to all seniors and caregivers regardless of income, race, and background. The Norwex Foundation donated $7,500 to DARTS, nominated by Senior Executive Sales Leader, Kim Zahradka.
Always & Furever Midwest Animal Sanctuary
Always & Furever Midwest Animal Sanctuary Always & Furever Midwest Animal Sanctuary is a nonprofit animal rescue network operating out of Spring Hill, Kansas. The mission of Always & Furever Midwest Animal Sanctuary is to provide senior dogs with a home in a loving, healthy, homelike setting where they can comfortably live out their lives. Over the past four years, the sanctuary has expanded to a larger operation with more than 5,000 pet lives saved. The Norwex Foundation donated $5,000 to Always and Furever Midwest Animal Sanctuary, nominated by Consultant, Vanessa Brown.
Sojourner House of Hope
Sojourner House of Hope Sojourner House of Hope is an adult female Christ-based communal housing program serving adult women. The six to nine-month program includes curriculum, safety, accountability, and structure, among a myriad of life skills. They seek to be a place of safety and healing, providing homeless women with supportive transitional housing and Christ-based care to address the root issues contributing to their state of need so they can be empowered to transition into autonomy, sustainability and community. Brewhaus Bakery & Dog Bones
Brewhaus Bakery & Dog Bones Brewhaus Bakery & Dog Bones is a collaborative nonprofit bakery program created to foster meaningful vocational training and work opportunities for young adults with disabilities. They bake healthy, all natural dog treats, cakes, waffles and pup cakes from locally sourced craft beer grains (malted barley). They are committed to supporting & enabling the individual development of commercial kitchen & bakery skills at all levels, for all participants and provides an authentic platform for community engagement & active citizenship. The Norwex Foundation donated $2,000 to Brewhaus Bakery & Dog Bones, nominated by Senior Executive Sales Leader Amy Dabbelt.

Bread Break Bread Break is a food-harvesting mission that works with food businesses to collect perfectly good, prepared food and distribute it to ministry centers which feed those in need. They impact the community in four ways: 1. Tax Break for Businesses 2. Reduction in Food Budget for Recipients 3. Matching Funds for Certain Recipients 4. Reducing the Waste in the Landfills. Face to Face Academy
Face to Face Academy Face to Face works to advance economic and health equity for youth while providing support, opportunities, and access to resources as they build on their strengths and achieve their aspirations. Since 1972, Face to Face has been serving young people experiencing homelessness. They provide comprehensive medical care, mental healthcare, housing support, employment training, and other social services to low-income and insecurely housed youth ages 11 to 24. The Norwex Foundation donated $5,000 to Face to Face Academy nominated by Sales Leader Leah Brown.
Farm in the Dell Rocky Mountain Front
Farm in the Dell Rocky Mountain Front Farm in the Dell Rocky Mountain Front’s mission is to build a community-based, self-supporting farm for people with intellectual disabilities in the Rocky Mountain Front area. Their goal is to provide a home where individuals can live healthy, productive lives, while they integrate into the local community in a way that is beneficial for both the community and the farm. The Norwex Foundation donated $5,000 to Farm in the Dell Rocky Mountain Front, nominated by Team Coordinator Kristen Ostberg.
Friends of the KAW
Friends of the KAW Friends of the KAW serves the Kansas River. The Kansas River is the largest prairie-based river system in the world and a drinking water source for over 800,000 Kansans. It is often referred to as a working river, with such uses as agricultural, irrigation, industrial & municipal water supply, electricity generation, and many more uses. Friends of the KAW are dedicated to protecting the river from pollution sources. For almost thirty years, this group has been the only grassroots conservation group dedicated to protecting the Kansas River. The Norwex Foundation donated $5,000 to Friends of the KAW nominated by Consultant Jeanette Walther.
Hope, Inc.
Hope, Inc. H.O.P.E, Inc. strives to empower, encourage, and equip low-income single parents to obtain a college degree, develop essential life skills, and ultimately become self-sufficient through wrap-around services including financial assistance for housing and childcare, community resources, financial training, and counseling. The Norwex Foundation donated $5,000 to Hope, Inc. nominated by Sales Leader Cynthia Walters.
Megan Meier Foundation
Megan Meier Foundation The Megan Meier Foundation was founded by Tina Meier in 2007 after her daughter Megan took her own life following a cruel cyberbullying hoax by an adult neighbor posing as a fictitious boy on MySpace. Since its inception, MMF has grown into a global bullying and cyberbullying prevention foundation. Through education, prevention, and intervention, they work to support and inspire actions to end bullying, cyberbullying, and suicide. The Norwex Foundation donated $1,000 to the Megan Meier Foundation nominated by Consultant Jordan Blaine.
The Kindness Project
The Kindness Project The Kindness Project provides free support to foster families across eastern Pennsylvania by offering essential items for the children and teens in their care. Kids are often placed into foster care with no personal items. The Kindness Exchange boutiques provide children from newborns to young adults with stylish new or like-new clothing, shoes, hygiene items, beds and other key items to help meet their most immediate needs. The Norwex Foundation donated $2,000 to the The Kindness Project nominated by Sales Leader Jennifer Mathesz.

Victory Lane Victory Lane Camp is S’MORE than a camp. It’s a community made up of people from all backgrounds and abilities who care and connect with one another. Centered around families who have children with disabilities, the reach of Victory Lane goes beyond therapy and services. Connections made between families through Victory Lane lead to lasting friendships where families support one another through the stresses and joys of life all year long. The Norwex Foundation donated $12,000 to Victory Lane nominated by Sales Leader Paige Fischer.
Warrior Spirit Therapies, Inc.
Warrior Spirit Therapies, Inc. Their mission is to help serve, support and heal our veterans and community struggling with mental illness through wilderness therapy, community involvement, scripture and Jesus Christ. Their purpose is to end veteran suicide and address mental health in our communities. The Norwex Foundation donated $15,000 to Warrior Spirit Therapies, Inc., nominated by Senior Executive Sales Leader Jennifer Jalbert.
Victory Junction
Victory Junction With Victory Junction, children with chronic medical conditions or serious illnesses get life-changing camp experiences that are exciting, fun and empowering. The environment is completely medically safe for the children and provided at no cost to the family. Campers have come from all 50 states and around the world. It’s a welcome break for children who spend most of their year involved with medical treatments or countless hospital visits. The Norwex Foundation donated $15,000 to Victory Junction, nominated by Sales Consultant Lara Lockwood.
Foster Village Peoria
Foster Village Peoria Foster parents can feel tired and alone. Many foster for less than a year and cite lack of support as the reason they stop. At the same time, 85% of people who aren’t foster parents say they care about vulnerable children and want to help. Foster Village Peoria bridges the gap between foster families and caregivers and those who want to contribute. The Norwex Foundation donated to $10,000 to Foster Village Peoria, nominated by Team Coordinator Cheriz Kunkel.
Nature’s Mountain Classroom
Nature’s Mountain Classroom Nature’s Mountain Classroom fosters a love of natural surroundings through outdoor recreation and experiences. Their playground adventures take place year-round at elementary schools in the Pocahontas County, West Virginia area. Activities include mountain biking, health fairs, a battle of the books, and 5K runs. Tumbling lessons prepare the kids for on-snow movement, and their mascot Big Foot makes it fun for everyone! The Norwex Foundation donated $10,000 to Nature’s Mountain Classroom, nominated by Sales Consultant Nancy Martin.
Sheltering Tree Community
Sheltering Tree Community With the belief that everyone represents enormous unexplored talents and abilities, this organization builds affordable housing communities for people with developmental disabilities. This empowers them to live self-determined lives and contribute to the community. Safe, affordable apartments and live-in resident assistants make this the ideal setting for residents to thrive. Their excitement for a real life of their own is contagious. The Norwex Foundation donated $10,000 to Sheltering Tree, nominated by Executive Sales Leader Kalyn Kimminau.
Strategic Water Teams
Strategic Water Teams Eighty percent of all sickness worldwide is due to waterborne illnesses, which claim the lives of 5 million children each year. This organization focuses on restoring health and hope by providing safe drinking water to those in need. Embedded with several relief organizations, trained volunteers provide clean drinking water after natural disasters. Haiti has become a focus for new system installations in recent years. The Norwex Foundation donated $10,000 to Strategic Water Teams, nominated by Sales Consultant Amy Drescher.
Kid Cancer Crushers
Kid Cancer Crushers Every three minutes, a child dies of cancer worldwide. Yet, less than 4% of our federal cancer research funds are used toward pediatric cancer. Kid Cancer Crusher aims to shift the balance by raising money for research to change these statistics, along with funds for local organizations supporting pediatric patient care. The Norwex Foundation donated $7,500 to Kid Cancer Crushers, nominated by Team Coordinator Beth Taylor.
Sweet Dream in a Bag
Sweet Dream in a Bag This organization has a mission to gift children living in poverty with new bedding packages. The children usually reside in temporary housing while their family is attempting to rebuild their lives. The new bedding packages are artfully assembled by volunteers to look like a present. Agencies report that children who receive new bedding adjust to their new homes quicker. The Norwex Foundation donated $7,500 to Sweet Dream in a Bag, nominated by Team Coordinator Amanda Johns.
Joyful Heart Foundation
Joyful Heart Foundation There are more than 225,000 untested rape kits sitting in police and crime lab facilities across the U.S., and the victims of those crimes deserve justice. Joyful Heart’s mission is to support healing and reform legislative support for survivors—including ending the rape kit backlog. Their vision is a world free of sexual assault, domestic violence, and child abuse. The Norwex Foundation donated $5,000 to the Joyful Heart Foundation, nominated by Sales Consultant Stacey Montgomery.
Kortni’s Path
Kortni’s Path A tragedy set loving family members on a path to create awareness for water safety. Nicole and Jim Botzet’s beloved daughter slipped under the water in a hotel hot tub and received her angel wings in 2010. Since that time, the family has provided water safety tips and free life jackets, along with scholarships for some of their daughter’s classmates. The Norwex Foundation donated $5,000 to Kortni’s Path, nominated by Executive Sales Leader Janel Zappe.
The Clarion Sunshine Project
The Clarion Sunshine Project The past year has been challenging for any organization that relies on events to raise funds, but the needs of those they serve continue. With a mission to help low-income patients at a local non-profit cancer center, this organization helps cancer patients who have enormous out-of-pocket expenses pay for their medical bills. The Clarion Sunshine Project takes away the stress hanging over patients unable to work, improving quality of life. The Norwex Foundation’s grant of $25,000 helps provide complete financial support for four to five patients.
Faces of Courage
Faces of Courage Rather than focusing on the negative of a cancer or blood illness diagnosis, this small but mighty organization focuses on positive outcomes and healthy living. Faces of Courage uses an integrated approach for cancer patients and survivors, including camper outings and retreats. They focus on the experience of the patient from prediagnosis through treatment to life after cancer. They accept campers from all over the world and offer their programs free of charge. The Foundation’s grant of $20,000 allows their efforts to continue to expand.
Jeremiah’s Crossing
Jeremiah’s Crossing Parents with children who have special needs can have extra expenses that add up, often creating hardships and forcing them to choose or forgo potentially life-changing resources. Therapeutic horseback riding is one example. It can help children and adults diagnosed with special needs to connect with the horses and with each other, helping them to find their strengths as they grow. Jeremiah’s Crossing provides therapeutic horseback riding lessons at absolutely no cost to the riders or their families. The Norwex Foundation’s grant of $15,000 helps purchase a safety wall for the arena and an adjustable western saddle.

Camp REACH A summer camp for children who need specialized help with communication and speech, Camp REACH provides a fun camp experience regardless of communication barriers. We were pleased to present a grant for $7,000.

Elevation House Adults living with mental illness can face economic hardships and social isolation. Elevation House uses a clubhouse model to offer its members hope and the chance for long-term success. We were pleased to present a grant for $7,000.
Fostering Hope
Fostering Hope Encouragement, resources and a helping hand can make all the difference to foster families. Fostering Hope helps support the Missouri foster care community in many important ways. They received a grant for $10,000 to help these precious children in foster care feel loved.
Healing Hearts and Hooves
Healing Hearts and Hooves Therapy that pairs adults and children who have disabilities with specially trained horses can be life-changing. Healing Hearts and Hooves is an equine-assisted therapy facility in Oregon that provides opportunities for healing and self-confidence along with improved physical abilities. They received a grant for $10,000.
UniCycle Nashville
UniCycle Nashville Students in need want to fit in with their peers. Feeling accepted removes obstacles as they pursue their education. UniCycle Nashville takes outgrown school attire in good condition and upcycles it for redistribution in public schools. They received a grant for $12,000 to help stock school closets for unexpected needs.

Alexandra’s House
Alexandra’s House Barely $.10 for every dollar is used for administrative costs at Alexandra’s House, so the bulk of donations received are used to help pay for family and baby expenses like babies’ funerals and headstones, other program costs associated with providing the kind of care they do to, like private and small group healing retreats, and some funds are necessary to help maintain the historic 115 year old building they own and occupy and through which all their services are provided.
Heartland Horse Heroes
Heartland Horse Heroes 1) programs for school systems on waiting lists and at-risk youth groups 2) Mechanical lift for wheelchair mounts 3) Any money left would go towards the ultimate goal of an indoor riding arena to limit distractions and cancellations due to weather.
Bright Tomorrows Child Advocacy
Bright Tomorrows Child Advocacy Any money received by Norwex would be used to replace the fencing that surrounds the outdoor play structure on the grounds of the facility. The current fence is in disrepair. Most other needs that are not included in the grants are weighted blankets for interview /counseling rooms (8), and products for waiting room (entry mat), kitchen and 3 bathrooms. They do their own cleaning and need products to clean. Envirocloths, kitchen towels, etc.
Babies of Homelessness
Babies of Homelessness 100% of basic needs items (i.e. diapers, pull-ups, wipes, formula and infant / toddler food) are procured from individual donors in the community. The $10k I fundraise on their behalf would allow the nonprofit to purchase bulk items at discounted pricing and expand services to more families in new geographic regions, specifically Snohomish and Pierce county where no such basic needs resources or funding exist and the need is great.
The Women’s Resource Center
The Women’s Resource Center In the fiscal year starting July 1st, we estimate serving 300+ women through the Success ToolKit Program. The Program Budget for 2019-2020 is $74,036 divided by 300 women is an average cost of $247/per client. The cost covers program staff, operational expense, program supplies and approximately $1000 of direct financial assistance for job related expenses when the clients are being hired, such as uniforms, work shoes, serv safe certifications, etc.
The Bloom Closet
The Bloom Closet The Bloom Closet is a non-profit organization so it relies on the donations of individuals and groups to help meet the needs of displaced children and youth. All donations (specific items or monetary) are offered free-of-charge to foster children living in the state of Georgia. The money will be used to stock The Bloom Closet with any needs that haven’t been met so that more foster families can come and experience the joy of “shopping” there!
Ben’s Wish
Ben’s Wish The money will be used to provide even more nutritious weekend meals to children. Currently, there are waiting lists to receive a meal pack each weekend. This money allows even more children to be reached and ensure no food insecurity in our community.

Farmers Footprint Every dollar donated to Farmers Footprint goes towards educating farmers on the regenerative practices mentioned above. Donations are also used to support farmers financially during the regenerative process, helping to alleviate their financial debt accrued from their dependency on chemical farming. Farmers Footprint puts your donation directly in line with helping farmers.
Beaches Go Green
Beaches Go Green The money requested will be used for educational materials and supplies to the launch the Beaches Go Green High School Club programs. The plan for the High School program is to provide educational resources to high school students who will then become mentors to partnered elementary school students.
A Memory Grows
A Memory Grows The funds would be used to underwrite the expenses for the retreats and special events so that no family who desires to attend would be turned away. The costs of the 4 Day Retreats is $200 with the Suicide Retreats being $250, the 1 Day Retreats are $40 and the Special Events are free, excluding the 5K which is a fundraiser. The retreats are only for parents, and the special events are open to siblings, extended family and friends.

Soul Soup To add a commercial dishwasher to [the facility]. We spend $100’s of dollars each month on paper product, so the dishwasher would save us money that we could use for food. The approximate cost is $5000 dollars; that would buy the dishwasher and pay for installation.
Go Green Club
Go Green Club We would LOVE to make each classroom as chemical free as possible! Just as trying to make the outside chemical free for our pollinators, we want the inside to be free of harsh cleaners so our students can thrive in a pure environment. We would use the money towards a Travel Pack of Envirocloths for each classroom (28 classrooms in all)!
The Empty Cup
The Empty Cup Funds will be used to help pay for supplies such as coffee, toilet paper, soap, Food, Rent and more necessities to keep the facility running and continue to support adoptions!
Harvesting International
Harvesting International We need funds for 12,000 meals for kids this summer (1000 kids for 12 weeks), as well as extra resources for continued gardening to help ensure healthy foods. In addition to financial needs, these kids would all benefit from having a body cloth. Many of these children do not bath for weeks because of their living situations. We are requesting a body cloth for each child as well.
Pathfinder Farms
Pathfinder Farms If selected, Pathfinder Farms would use the money to fund, or partially fund, the Crop program by purchasing a greenhouse. This would enable the program to run yea r-round. The cost of a greenhouse is approximately $3,500. Anything that is awarded to help offset the cost would be appreciated, but if additional funds were available and awarded, those monies would be used to purchase a system of grow lights to start seeds (approximately $1,500), tools, seeds, planting trays, fertilizer, mulch, canning/juicing supplies, etc.

Seeds of Grace We are in desperate need of a new roof and paint on the building the estimate for both of these is $25,000.00, or we could use $5000.00 to build our raised garden beds on the property to plant vegetable gardens to feed the community fresh food. At this time there is no paid employees on staff, we are all volunteers with a board of 5. We are looking to grow our board of directors to 9 and building a bigger volunteer team.

Redefined Courage Will give 125 shirts and eliminate a waiting list for ‘hope’ and open it up to every woman who applies for their upcoming surgery.

Try Pie Bakery
Try Pie Bakery Equipment and Recyclable Materials. We would love to have an easy option to recycle! Currently we take cardboard and plastic from our production to a center, so having a recycling option on site would be so helpful. There are also a few pieces of equipment that would be helpful to have contributed.
Faith’s Lodge
Faith’s Lodge The money will be used to sponsor families for a weekend at the lodge. Families are able to stay without having to pay a fee when donations like this are made.
KSDS Assistance Dogs INC
KSDS Assistance Dogs INC If KSDS is selected, the Norwex donation could be used to sponsor five kennels in the canine housing unit, with an engraved plaque on each kennel. The plaque could say “Sponsored by a donation from Norwex”.
Awakening Minds Art
Awakening Minds Art Sponsorship is for therapeutic program. This is a 1on1 with student. Currently have 65 students that should come once or twice a week. They charge $30/class/1 hour. This is 30% of total cost.
Plant It Forward
Plant It Forward Plant It Forward offers economically disadvantaged refugees an opportunity to become self-sufficient through growing, harvesting and selling produce from a sustainable urban farm within the city of Houston. Each farm will have the potential to generate a fair wage for a family of four while providing premium brand sustainably-grown produce to Houstonians. The donation from the Norwex Foundation will allow Plant it Forward to purchase a new farm truck for hauling produce and supplies and will also cover the start up cost for a new urban farm.
Grant Halliburton Foundation
Grant Halliburton Foundation Grant Halliburton Foundation works to strengthen the network of mental health resources for children, teens and young adults; promote better mental health; and prevent suicide. The Foundation was established in 2006 in memory of a Dallas teen who battled depression and bipolar disorder for several years before his suicide death at the age of 19. Hope Helps Plant It Forward offers economically disadvantaged refugees an opportunity to become self-sufficient through growing, harvesting and selling produce from a sustainable urban farm within the city of Houston. Each farm will have the potential to generate a fair wage for a family of four while providing premium brand sustainably-grown produce to Houstonians. The donation from the Norwex Foundation will allow Plant it Forward to purchase a new farm truck for hauling produce and supplies and will also cover the start up cost for a new urban farm.
ShowerUp
ShowerUp ShowerUp is a mobile shower truck that is designed to serve those in need in and around the city of Nashville. By providing showers, hygiene resources and basic health care screenings, ShowerUp shares love, builds relationships, and restores hope to the homeless community. The donation from the Norwex Foundation will help cover the cost of an addition ShowerUp mobile unit, allowing them to serve more people than ever before. Norwex will also donate towels and personal care items to be used in the ShowerUp units.
Marine Discovery Center
Marine Discovery Center The Marine Discovery Center in New Smyrna Beach, FL, seeks to protect an important estuary area of the Indian River Lagoon by engaging volunteers and children to be hands on and get their feet wet. One program the center sponsors uses volunteers to collect shucked oyster shells from restaurants and convert them into new reef-building materials. With oyster bags and mats, they can create a new habitat where there wasn’t one before. The donation from the Norwex Foundation will support this program and its continued efforts.

LovinGrace LovinGrace provides a holistic approach for helping young women who have aged-out of foster care, are homeless or have limited support systems to obtain the skills and education they need to live a productive life on their own. The donation from the Norwex Foundation will allow LovinGrace to add additional accomodations for women in need.

Seeds of Caring Seeds of Caring empowers kids to create a kinder community with their hearts, hands, and minds by designing meaningful opportunities for them to engage in service, social action and community-building. The volunteer projects range from raking leaves for seniors, to packing lunches for the homeless. Kids also learn the harmful effects of plastic pollution. They help clean up litter and grow plants for food pantries. The donation from the Norwex Foundation will support 12 environmentally-focused events that will reach more than 240 kids.

Families who bring their children to Isabel’s House partner with their team of Family Advocates to create a plan specific to each situation. Their team works to connect parents and caregivers with the right resources to address their crises and build up the family. By partnering with families and the community, they strengthen families and prevent child abuse and neglect.

The Coffee Oasis The Coffee Oasis plays a vital role in changing the world for homeless youth by providing job internships and youth programs free of charge for the community. Youth can participate in job internships at the various Coffee Oasis businesses, learning skills and gaining confidence, as they work toward permanent employment. They also support coffee farm communities by using only Direct Trade beans, which translates into fair wages and community development for the farmers.

Their programs empower the special abilities of people with IDD by helping them form meaningful friendships with their peers, secure successful jobs, live independently, improve public speaking, self-advocacy and communication skills, and feel valued by society. The donation from the Norwex Foundation will support the yearly walk held in Jacksonville, FL.

(SWC), is a community-based agency that was founded by a group of community volunteers who wanted to help women who were being abused by their partners. Jackson County Food 4 Kids Jackson County Food 4 Kids provides weekly food packs to food insecure K-5th grade children for weekends and holiday breaks during the school year. The food pack covers all meals for that child over the weekend. For longer breaks, each child is given a voucher for their local grocery store to cover all meals.

Lemons of Love Lemons of Love is based on the well-known expression, “When life gives you lemons, make lemonade,” but with a twist, “When life gives you lemons – laugh out loud.” LOL bags are hand made by volunteer stitchers with lots of love and are filled with essential items for healing during chemo treatments. These bags are delivered to local hospitals and also sent to cancer patients nationwide.

Hometown Heroes Camp Hometown Heroes is a national free week-long overnight summer camp for children and siblings between the ages of seven to seventeen of fallen U.S. service members who died in any manner. During their visit to camp, perhaps for the first time in their young lives, the children have the opportunity to openly discuss their feelings and experiences. Through the support of pediatric grief specialists, the children partake in art and music therapy programs and optional discussion groups.
Live Love
Live Love Live Love provides service and community events in Chandler that educate and support families, so they can sustain a more healthy and sustainable way of life. They completely remodeled and overhauled an old drug house in downtown Chandler that now serves as a primary site for these empowering events. This change is reminder of restoration to that neighborhood. Their next endeavor is the building of an educational center and farm in the same neighborhood, so the community can learn how to produce and sustain healthy food instead of resorting to unhealthy eating practices.

Sports range from the beginner through both the junior and national levels of athletic competition. Evening programs are designed to provide opportunities for leisure and social activities.

New Day Foster Home New Day Foster Home’s core mission is to provide life-saving surgeries and a loving home to orphans with special needs from around China. Since its founding in October 2000, New Day Foster Home has expanded its programs to reach more children living in government institutions across the country through outreach work like the Formula Project and other initiatives.

Sharing Hope Ministries Sharing Hope Ministries was birthed during the rebuilding process of Hurricane Katrina. The ministry sets up temporary sites in communities where natural disasters have taken place to help aid the people in those communities with their clean up efforts and the rebuilding process. Their base camps allow for teams of volunteers to come and aid in the clean up and rebuilding process.

Flint Active Crisis Team and Service FACTS’ next project is to continue their work with the local food pantries, Salvation Army and blight/garbage cleanup, as well as the building of a brand-new park in an abandoned lot in the city of Flint, MI. The park will include a playground made completely of recycled materials, a sound garden and play equipment designed for handicapped children. FACTS wants the people of Flint to feel that they matter and that they should never give up, even though so many have given up on them.

Foster Care Bags for Lucas County Foster Care System Hope Community Church and the Foster Care System Bags program have partnered with Lucas County Children’s Services to help the children coming into Foster Care on one of the most difficult days of their young lives. They organize a giving project every year where items are donated and put together in reusable bags that are given to children on the day they enter the foster care system to ensure that they know they are loved and special.
Living Light Hope House
Living Light Hope House Living Light Hope House is a residence that is owned and operated by Living Light for the purpose of practically serving those with special medical needs. The house will be ADA (Americans with Disabilities Act) compliant, which includes wide doorways, low sinks and counters, accessible showers, ramps or zero-grade transitions in and out of the house, and overall function that would afford a wheelchair-bound person the luxury of independence within the context of a family space. The first family that will inhabit Hope House has two wheelchair-bound children with disabilities.

Rebekah’s Legacy Foundation In August of 2016, Rebekah Spader passed away at the age of ten after a battle against Acute Myeloid Leukemia. Austism Dog Services ADS trains and places dogs with children between the ages of three to 18 years of age. ADS does not require an Autism Spectrum Disorder diagnosis to be considered for the program. If a child has challenges which present in a similar manner to Autism they evaluate the needs and determine if a service dog would provide beneficial support to the child. Kids Fishing for a Cure Kids Fishing for A Cure was founded by local resident John Harbor. As a volunteer driver for Cancer Care Manitoba, he noticed the many children battling cancer. John an avid fisherman, thought it would be wonderful to take them fishing and create a fun day for them. John enlisted the help of local outfitters. Together, they held a Kids Fishing for a Cure Derby. It was a huge success and they made it an annual event. The Derby is a fun-packed day where kids can just be kids. Le Zebre Rouge Since 2004, the Zèbre Rouge community mission has offered a program for social and employment integration for young adults with mental health problems. The program increases autonomy, skills and adaptation to the labor market. To accomplish its mission, Le Zèbre Rouge founded a social economy enterprise in 2011 to provide part of its funding. Their economic activity is the recovery, repair and sale of used or new bicycles and the rental of bicycles. The Grace Café The Grace Café is a soup kitchen and mission in the heart of St Thomas, serving free breakfast and lunch 6 days a week. It is 100% volunteer staffed, dedicated to marginalized, homeless or other individuals and families, who find themselves in difficult circumstances. Since 2022, they also provide ‘The Annex’ an addictions resource storefront. They offer addiction counselling, and resources to promote options for recovery. Zack’s Crib
Zack’s Crib Zack’s Crib’s mission is to provide services that alleviate and prevent homelessness. Since 2018, Zack’s Crib has been working with volunteers and community to raise money for a safe bed facility. Phase 1 is the safe bed facility. Phase 2 will see this facility graduate into a shelter for homeless individuals. Phase 3 will be the development of programs and services for this shelter. This will allow individuals experiencing homelessness to find shelter and the resources they need to create a better life. Ennismore Cares Ennismore Cares is a group of community members who support a local family whose 6-year-old son has been diagnosed with an ultra-rare genetic disorder. IHPRF 1 is a severe autosomal recessive neurologic disorder with onset at birth or in early infancy. Affected individuals show very poor, if any, normal cognitive development. This donation will help to raise awareness and support the Mose family with medical expenses and home care. Cystic Fibrosis, Winnipeg Chapter Cystic Fibrosis is the most common fatal genetic disease affecting Canadian children and young adults, and at present there is no cure. It is estimated that one in every 3,600 children born in Canada has Cystic Fibrosis. CF causes various effects on the body, but mainly affects the digestive system and lungs. The Norwex Foundation will donate $2,500 to Cystic Fibrosis Canada, nominated by Team Coordinator Caitlyn Bowker.

The programs and services assist refugees through settlement and integration by providing temporary residence and orientations to life in Canada. In the past year, Reception House has provided support to over 500 government-assisted refugees in the Waterloo region. Men’s Street Ministry Many Canadians are currently without a place to call home. In Hamilton Ontario, Men’s Street Ministry founders Roger and Janet Boyd have been serving soup and sandwiches to the homeless and less fortunate weekly for the past six years. HEROS The HEROS mission is to use the game of hockey to teach life skills and empower marginalized youth. Since launching in 2000, HEROS has provided over 15,000 youth with personal growth opportunities! Anderson House Sadly, many women and children may be in need of safekeeping because of violence in their lives. Services need to be available 24/7 and may include emergency shelter, childcare, referrals and, most of all, love and advocacy. Anderson House is a Prince Edward Island emergency shelter whose goal is to provide a place of safety for women and children who are victims of abuse, and to advocate for their needs. The Norwex Foundation’s grant of $25,000 is being used to support the daily cost of care for these survivors.

Jacob’s Planet Project Jacob’s Planet Project began as a project for a 9-year-old boy in an engineering class for kids! Jacob learned that hair and fur absorb and retain oil much better than synthetic materials and can be used to cleanup oil spills from waterways! He began to collect hair and fur from local salons and groomers and, using his allowance and earnings, he packed and shipped it to organizations that create the felt mats and booms. Jacob now fundraises to cover the cost of shipping!

Alberta Fire Relief – Red Cross In May 2016, thousands of lives were changed in an instant when wildfires swept toward Fort McMurray and surrounding communities in northern Alberta. Residents were forced to flee their homes, with little or no time to collect essentials, leaving behind treasured possessions, and in some cases, family pets. The Red Cross was there to assist residents with emergency shelter, food and many other essentials after the fire destroyed approximately 2400 homes and buildings and covered 1.5 million acres.
